The SITRANS LVL200 is a standard vibrator level switch for use in all liquid and slurry applications such as overflow, high, low and required applications, as well as pump protection. Used in SIL-2 applications.

The SITRANS LVL200 is an all-in-one level switch designed for industrial use in all areas of process technology and can be used with liquids and pastes. With a insertion length of only 40 mm (1.57 "), the SITRANS LVL100 can be installed in small pipe or limited space applications. LV200 can be used to measure products with a minimum density greater than 0.5 g/cm cubed (0.018 LBS /in cubed). LVL200 can also be used in various applications including turbulence, bubbles, foams, accumulations or strong external vibrations.

The SITRANS LVL200 continuously monitors faults through frequency estimation, providing early detection of strongly corroded or damaged tuning forks, vibration losses, or pressure-driven pipeline fractures.

The tuning fork is piezo-energized and vibrates at a mechanical resonance frequency of about 1200Hz. When the tuning fork is covered by the medium, the vibration frequency changes. This change is detected by the integrated oscillator, which is then converted to a switch command. The integrated electronics estimate the level signal and then output a switch signal to operate the connected device directly.
