describe
SITRANS LVS200 is a vibration point object level switch for high or low object level of bulk solids. Standard LVS200 detects the high, low or required level of dry bulk solids in storage bins, silos or hoppers. The liquid/solid interface model can also detect a liquid in a confined space such as a feed pipe or a stable solid in a solid. It is designed to detect the interface between liquid and solid while ignoring liquid.
A tube expansion model with standard or liquid/solid interface electronics and tuning fork is available, separated by a user-supplied 1" tube.
The SITRANS LVS200 has an optional way to monitor the 4-20 mA output accumulated on the tuning fork and then determine when preventive maintenance should be performed in sticky applications.
The SITRANS LVS100 has a one-piece design that can be mounted on the top, side or Angle. The vibrating tuning fork design ensures that the fork is kept clean. The unique tuning fork design and crystal assembly eliminate false high level readings, even when the fork is damaged.
The signal from the electrical circuit excites a crystal in the probe and causes the tuning fork to vibrate. If the tuning fork is covered with raw material, the change in vibration is detected by the electrical circuit, which then causes the relay to change state after a delay of one second. When there is no pressure on the tuning fork to receive the feed, full vibration is restored and the relay returns to its normal condition.
Key applications: dry bulk solids or stable solids in liquids (interface type) in storage bins, silos, or hoppers
